Employee of the Year
Kahn Raddavong, Coast Community College Fiscal Operations Accounting Technician, has been named District Employee of the Year for 2011-2012.
A resident of Bellflower, Raddavong received the award from Chancellor Andrew Jones at the annual District Area Managers Picnic held September 24. Raddavong has been happily employed with Coast District since November 1998. “These 14 years have flown by so fast. I am grateful for all the friends I have made here and for their support and encouragement,” said Raddavong, “The District is like my second family.”
Fiscal Service Director, Daniela Thompson, shared that they are lucky to have someone so knowledgeable and hard-working as Raddavong. His positive attitude and welcoming smile always make him a pleasure to work with.  These are just a few of the reasons why Thompson and Supervisor of District Accounting and Budget, Wanda Doty, feel Raddavong deserves this award. “We appreciate all he does for this department,” said Doty.Â
During his free time, Raddavong enjoys reading, playing tennis and working on home improvement projects. He is currently working on the bathrooms.
Other nominees for the Employee of the Year were Angela Bell, Jane Burton, Shannan Ellis-McCarthy, Nancy Hill, Paul Krikorian, Robert Maharaj, Anna Nibeel, Tracey Sanders, and Nancy Sprague.
